At Anglers Crag - the path around Ennerdale Water is generally straightforward but occasional 'hands on rock' is required.

At the far (eastern) end of Ennerdale water looking back.

We have crossed over to the left (northern)  bank of the River Liza and continue up the valley.
Pillar can be seen on the right.

Looking towards the head of Ennerdale valley - Green Gable & Great Gable are straight ahead.

Haystacks is in the middle distance left. 
Loft Beck is just beyond haystacks and cannot be clearly seen (it is not the obvious beck seen in this viewpoint).

Loft Beck.
The steep and rocky ascent out of Ennerdale valley by way of Loft Beck - a climb of 1000ft in half a mile. 
For perspective, note the tiny outline of a walker on the skyline at the top of Loft Beck

Heading for the Honister Pass and Borrowdale along the dismantled slate quarry tramway (below the remains of the old drum house).
The green sunlit 'oasis' in the distance is Borrowdale..
